Ok in 15 minutes, I'm going on lunch. After that, I have an hour left of work until I leave to go to Florida, visit my friend Jorsh and go to / be a volunteer at Nerdapalooza. I sincerely hope they readjust my volunteer time slot so that I can see MC Chris for the 4th time...and also the Protomen because Jorsh keeps talking up this band and I want to see them. I'll be back Monday night. Tuesday I have work and after work I'm going to see George Clinton [king of FUNK!] in Milwaukee for FREE.
THis is my 3rd mini-vacation in as many weeks.
whatta life. I have honestly just been TOO BUSY to post about all my busy-ness. But I really want to. I have pictures of the canoeing trip. I had Kenny re-clipper the sides of my hair and I have a purple 'hawk now. You guys still need to see a picture of Harley! annnnd Sarah my room mate is still my bff.
and all that 'I'm saaad wahh' shit from my previous post has been booted out the window bc I knew I was being dumb and just needed to readjust my way of thinking.

needless to say, I can not concentrate on work. I'm really excited, and also hungry. Also I almost beat Gregtaro in Facebook Scrabble today. ALMOST. So close. He always schools me and I think it's just because he knows how to work the board. But I did get a 48 point word in, so I was proud of that. Yeah.
one more thing. Last night, I finally figured out how to download albums with torrents [don't laugh, I'm extremely slow to figure out techmology sometimes]...and I got really excited and stayed up all night pirating music. ARRRR. I'm really happy about it. I got Frank Turner, James Figurine, the sound track from The Harder They Come [a movie about reggae music, NOT A PORNO!], Tarkio, Defiance Ohio, and lots of other stuff which I can not remember at the current moment. But the point is, my ears will be filled with joy whilst waiting around in the air port by myself, and riding the airplane by myself, to and from Florida.
Now make like a tree and beat it. |

I'm going to the city on July 18th anyway, and I found out Slim Cessna's Auto Club is playing at the Empty Bottle that day at 8pm so I'm going to go. Huzzah. |

I love this band! and the cool part is they have a new album, even though I'm pretty sure it's mostly covers, the songs are really well done. I want to buy it. I still never got Bat For Lashes. I'm becoming wary of Amazon downloading bc the last few times I've PAID to download songs, the files appear to download, but then they have a file extension of ".amz" and are not recognized/won't open or play.
But if you want some music to listen to, here's a link and they have lots of songs up.

I'm twisting myself up all up in my head all twisted up.
Happiness, you are a crooked line.
My friend's dad has passed away, part of this past Weekend Death Trip, but this guy I knew in person, and this guy I cried about. I know he will be missed an awful lot. I know death happens to everyone, but it is never easy.
I am also upsetting myself over a good many other things.
But I did have a pretty sweet weekend with Gregory, despite its binges on booze and garbagey food and the total lack of sleep and the driving home from Champaign at 5:30 this morning only to be 20 minutes late to work anyway.
Oh but I'm trying. Scotch tape that smile to my face, how I'm trying.
I might need a hug real soon though.
Or someone to listen to me in person.
Here are some photos from my weekend. Perhaps a detailed account later, as it is bedtime 3 hours ago and I am sleep-deprived as always.

I dropped off the 2 disposable cameras today, so pending any soaked-ness during the canoe trip that may have ruined the film [cross your fingers, y'all!] there should be more pictures soon.
That's all for now because I vowed to go to sleep at 10 and here it is 11:30. gd it.
Probably another late night tomorrow if the plans for seeing STS9 w/ Sara pan out after work. Hoping so. |
